Sommelier January Update

After over a year of building, Sommelier’s new Cellar architecture is live. Strategists and DeFi builders now have access to the most powerful and flexible vault smart contract for executing DeFi strategies ever created. What we call Cellars V2 allows strategists to leverage any DeFi protocol which makes for an incredibly wide ranging design space. Additionally, it allows DeFi builders to incorporate automated and active portfolio management into their protocols to enhance yields and deliver streamlined user experiences.

We wanted to cast a spotlight on the team that delivered the first Cellar in existence, Seven Seas, in order to familiarize our community with a core team that plans to develop more cellars in the future.

Hey Sommeliers! It is with high spirits that we share the next two Cellars poised to arrive on Sommelier! The first Cellar to launch on the platform, an Aave stablecoin lending strategy, demonstrated the power of Sommelier’s architecture. Now, these next two strategies, provided by Cleargate, offer a higher risk profile, actively trading ETH and BTC positions. For what seems to be the first time in DeFi, Sommelier will be providing retail access to actively managed strategies aimed at outperforming the hodl approach with ETH and BTC, a common benchmark for crypto investment.
